How we earn money
mynxtrip is free to use. This page explains, in full, how we are paid, who pays us, and what that means for you.
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Summary: mynxtrip earns commissions from travel companies when people use our links to search or book. You never pay us anything, and commissions don't increase your price. Commissions never make us responsible for your booking. That is always between you and the company you book with.
1. Why we publish this page
We believe you should know how a free service is paid for. This disclosure is part of our commitment to honest, transparent advertising. It also reflects the principles of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023, and the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Code, which call for clear disclosure of material connections with brands.
2. How mynxtrip makes money
2.1 mynxtrip is free for travellers. We don't charge booking fees, service fees, convenience fees or subscriptions, and we never take payment from you.
2.2 We earn money through affiliate marketing. When you click a link or search result on the Service and then act on a Provider's website, for example by making a booking, the Provider or the affiliate network that manages its programme may pay us a commission or referral fee.
2.3 We may in future earn money from clearly labelled advertising, sponsored placements or partnerships. Any sponsored content will be labelled as "Sponsored" or "Advertisement".
3. Types of commission
| Model | How it works | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue share / cost per sale (CPS) | We receive a percentage of the Provider's revenue or of the booking value, after the booking is completed or the stay or flight has taken place | Hotels (Booking.com, Agoda); flights via Travelpayouts |
| Fixed fee per booking (CPA) | We receive a fixed amount for each qualifying booking | Some flight, car and activity partners |
| Cost per click or lead (CPC/CPL) | We receive a small fee for qualifying clicks, searches or enquiries | Some search and metasearch partners |
Commission rates differ between Providers and can change. Commissions are usually reversed if a booking is cancelled or refunded.
4. Our partners
Our current affiliate and technology partners include:
- Travelpayouts: a travel affiliate network that powers our flight search, including search.mynxtrip.com, and provides tools such as Travelpayouts Drive. Through it we work with airlines, online travel agents and travel brands, including Aviasales and Trip.com.
- Booking.com: through the CJ (Commission Junction) affiliate network.
- Agoda: through the Agoda Partners programme.
- Other airlines, travel agents, accommodation platforms, insurers, activity providers and affiliate networks that we may add over time.
Partners are independent companies. They are not owned or controlled by mynxtrip, and we are not their agent.
5. How to recognise affiliate links
- You should assume that every link that takes you to a Provider's website is an affiliate link, including search buttons, "See fares" and "Hotels on Booking.com" buttons, and links in our guides and emails.
- On our website, these links carry the "sponsored" attribute, in line with search engine guidelines.
- Affiliate links may pass through mynxtrip.com/go, which records the click before sending you to the Provider.
- Our footer on every page states that we earn commissions.
6. Does it change the price you pay?
6.1 No. Commissions are paid by the Provider out of its own revenue. They are not added to your price by mynxtrip, and you pay the same price as you would by going to the Provider directly. Occasionally partner promotions make the price lower.
6.2 The final price is always set by the Provider and shown on its website at checkout. Always check the final price, including taxes and fees, before you pay. See our Terms of use for more on prices.
7. How results and recommendations are ordered
- Flight results are produced by our search technology partner from data supplied by airlines and travel agents. They are normally ordered by price, and you can sort and filter by duration, number of stops, airline and other factors.
- Hotel links open the Provider's own search results, which the Provider orders according to its own methods.
- Our pages may feature, highlight or link to particular Providers. Commission levels may be one of the factors we consider when choosing which partners to work with or feature, alongside price, coverage, reliability and user experience.
- We do not guarantee that any result is the cheapest available, and ordering is not a recommendation.
8. Editorial independence
8.1 Our destination pages, travel guides and tips are written by us to be useful. We choose the areas, routes and advice we write about based on our judgement of what will help travellers, not on payment.
8.2 We do not accept payment, gifts or free stays in exchange for a recommendation. If we ever receive a free service or payment connected with content, we will disclose it clearly in that content.
8.3 Guides and tips are general information only. See our Disclaimer.
9. Automatically added links and offers
We use Travelpayouts Drive, an automated, AI-based tool provided by Travelpayouts. It may:
- convert ordinary links to travel brands into affiliate links;
- add relevant booking links, widgets or recommendations to our pages; and
- show targeted travel offers to visitors.
Links and offers added by Drive are affiliate links. Drive's processing is described in our Cookie Policy.
10. Newsletters and social media
Links in our newsletters, deal alerts and social media posts are usually affiliate links. Posts that promote a particular Provider will be identified as containing affiliate links, in line with ASCI guidance on disclosure.
11. Our fair-practice commitments
- We don't use false urgency, such as fake countdown timers or invented "only 1 seat left" messages.
- We don't add hidden fees or use drip pricing. We don't charge you anything at all.
- We don't disguise advertising as independent content.
- We don't pre-tick consent boxes or make it hard to unsubscribe.
- Where messages about availability or price come from a Provider, they are the Provider's responsibility.
12. What affiliate relationships do not mean
12.1 An affiliate relationship does not make mynxtrip a seller, agent or party to your Booking, and does not mean we endorse or guarantee any Provider, its prices, its services or its financial stability.
12.2 Your contract, payment, refunds, cancellations, compensation and any chargeback are solely between you and the Provider, as set out in our Terms of use and Refund and Cancellation Policy. Receiving a commission does not make us liable for any Provider's acts or omissions.
13. Changes and contact
We will update this page when our partners or methods change. If you have questions about our affiliate relationships, email grievance@mynxtrip.com or hello@mynxtrip.com.
