Dubai is one of the easiest international trips from India, with many direct flights from major Indian cities. Most visitors split their time between Downtown, the Marina and the old souks of Deira and Bur Dubai. A desert safari is the usual half-day trip.
Best time to visit
November to March, when days are warm rather than very hot. The Dubai Shopping Festival usually runs in December and January.
Getting there
Most flights land at Dubai International (DXB). Some low-cost flights use Al Maktoum (DWC), which is much further from the city centre.
